Founded in 1975, the Centre County Women’s Resource Center (now Centre Safe) works to end domestic violence in Centre County, and provide shelter, counseling, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence. It was begun by a small group of women seeking to address the specialized needs of women in the local community and grant them support and freedom.

 

Forty-four years later, Centre Safe reaches out to thousands of individuals across Centre County, providing services like:

• Community education

• Legal Representation for Family Law & Immigration

• A 24-Hour Hotline

• Sexual Assault Response Team
